Actor and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has written an open letter to AP state government over the arrest of MP Raghurama Krishna Raju. Stating that this is not appropriate time to arrest a MP, Pawan asked the AP government to focus on the Covid-19 patients who are not getting due treatment, admission in hospitals because of lack of beds, oxygen supply.
He opined that Raghurama Krishna Raju was arrested for political reasons for raising his voice and being critical about the government. Pawan said that Janasena party is condemning the arrest of Raju. He said that it is undemocratic and oppressive act of the government.

Narsapur MP Kanumuru Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, who is popularly known as RRR, has been arrested by AP CID officials in Hyderabad today. Amidst a high drama as Raju protested, AP CID officials took him into custody.
Earlier, AP CID sleuths, who arrived in Hyderabad, reached Raju’s residence in the city and served him the notices before arresting him. Raju has been charged with abusing CM Jaganmohan Reddy and the state government.
The CRPF security of Raghurama Krishna Raju provided by the Centre had tried to provide security to the MP during the arrest. However, CID officials have got due clearances from the top officials of the CRPF following which the CRPF security make way for the CID officials to do their duty.

Amaravati, April 9 : Rebel YSRCP rebel MP Kanumuru Raghurama Krishna Raju is upping the ante against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by approaching the courts to seek cancellation of his bail, alleging that his life is under threat.
Raju said that he is planning to file the petition again in the CBI court on Friday as his initial petition was returned, adding that some media houses wrongly reported that it was turned down but that was not true . It was not rejected. Only on some frivolous technical grounds, a certified copy of the order that granted bail has been asked to be submitted. Another technical ground was invoked and the plea returned. We are filing it again on Friday, he said.
