Congress MP Rahul Gandhi left for a short personal trip abroad and will skip a key party meeting, where all general secretaries, in-charges and PCC presidents have been invited.
A day after Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were asked to appear before Enforcement Directorate for questioning in a money laundering case linked to National Herald newspaper, sources have now learned that Rahul Gandhi is currently on a foreign tour.
Even as speculation is rife that the poll strategist may join the grand old party ahead of the 2024 general election, the immediate focus appears to be the assembly election in Gujarat.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is abroad, came under attack from the BJP that took a dig at him over his foreign trip as the party celebrated its 136th Foundation Day today. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has left for abroad for a short personal visit and will be away for a few days, party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had said on Sunday.
Mr Surjewala today said the BJP should not have any objection to Mr Gandhi visiting an ailing relative.
