A fresh Western Disturbance is arriving anytime now and a Cyclonic Circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining areas. These systems combined will result in rain and thunderstorm over North Indian Plains of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. There is a possibility of hailstorm in isolated pockets as well.
Rains will be observed over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and even West Uttar Pradesh. Cloud cover, rain may be seen over these areas and temperatures may dip to lower 30s and come to even below normal levels in some parts under 20s.
The possibility of such adverse weather at few places during this period can not be ruled out. Fingers crossed for the smooth passage of first pre monsoon spell across northern plains of the country.
A moderate intensity Western disturbance is approaching Western Himalayas on February 28. It may induce a cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining parts of north Haryana leading to scattered rain over Punjab and North Haryana as well as Northwest Uttar Pradesh between February 28 and March 2nd.
Few places like Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot and Gurdaspur may touch 5 degree mark on 01st Feb and later. However, twist in the weather conditions will turn the days to become pleasant with fair amount of sunshine during forenoon and afternoon. Fair weather conditions are expected to prevail during 1st week of February.
