McAfee Mobile Research Team recently discovered 38 copycat games of the wildly popular 3D sandbox game, Minecraft with hidden advertising on the Google Play Store.

Minecraft clone apps on the Play Store were found to contain adware which slows down devices and eats up data by loading ads in the background.

A set of 38 Minecraft copycat games on Google Play infected devices with the Android adware HiddenAds to stealthily load ads in the background to generate revenue for its operators.
