ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The novelty of dishes ordered “Christmas style” and quick trips to Sandia Peak can wear off for Albuquerque residents but a new tourism department campaign aims to change that.
Tourism agency Visit Albuquerque launched the #TrueABQ Challenge Tuesday in an attempt to encourage locals to explore their city while also supporting small businesses, according to a news release.
Participants in the challenge are asked to complete a checklist of locally oriented activities and upload a photo from each challenge to the Visit Albuquerque website, agency spokeswoman Ceela McElveny said in a news release.
