A circulation of extensive rainfall over Northeast India including Assam will be scattered for five days at a stretch.

According to reports, residents in Hatigaon, Chandmari, and Zoo Road, including other areas of the city are facing trouble in conducting their regular business.

For the past few days, people in the region are facing scorching heat accompanied by humidity which has brought masses to a standstill.

Assams Guwahati is likely to witness rain spells and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday as per the IMD prediction. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in the northeastern region.

Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience extremely heavy downpours in the next 3 days under the influence of moist southwestern winds continuing to blow in from the Bay of Bengal
