Notable private hospitals in Mumbai, whose names have not been featured on the list released by the Centre for phase three vaccination drive, are upset over their exclusion. Following this, many have requested the Centre and the Maharashtra government to ensure their participation in the next phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive starting March 1.
Doctor Gautam Bhansali from Bombay Hospital, who has been working as a coordinator for various private hospitals for Covid-19 facilities in the city, said the non-inclusion had taken them by surprise.
“We weren’t happy not finding our name in the list and are now putting up the request for inclusion. We are requesting that our names be included as we have not volunteered with the aim to earn money. We are a charitable organisation and want to help at this critical hour.
