Dr. Rajeev Gautam, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has donated $250,000 (around Rs 10.1 crore) to support various research endeavours and initiatives benefiting students there.
Dr. Gautam, who graduated in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1974 made the pledge during the Golden Jubilee Reunion of the batch held from February 23-25, with over 80 alumni in attendance along with their families.
