Mapmygenome has launched a drive thru COVID-19 testing facility at Cyient Foundation MP Primary & ZP High School in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. People who want to get a COVID-19 test for themselves and for their families can enter the school premises and follow the markings for parking spots. There are standees with barcode to the registration form, which can be filled online.
Apart from names, contact details, and age, this form also requires an individual s ID proof. Sample collection executives approach the car and collect oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swab samples. Apple has rolled out a new update for its Maps app, which now shows Covid-19 airport travel guidelines for over 300 airports worldwide, including five Indian airports. The navigation app now shows its users local airport health requirements, including face coverings, health tests, or screenings, and quarantine guidelines. To access the feature, users simply need to search for an airport in the app and then tap the Covid-19 travel guidance and local health requirements option. Hyderabad-based molecular diagnostics startup Mapmygenome has now
enabled the inclusion of QR codes in all COVID-19 reports to help authorities scan and verify the report online.
According to the official statement, all reports from Mapmygenome laboratories will have the QR code and information on the date, time of sample collection, and sample reporting.
This announcement
comes in a few days after Dubai Health Authority’s new guidelines, which introduced QR code guidelines to ensure honesty in COVID-19 test result reporting.
