KATHMANDU, March 11: A proposal has been put forward to establish a dedicated and powerful authority in Nepal to combat the escalating crisis of climate change, as outlined in the 'Climate Change Bill-2080 BS' prepared by the Nepal Law Commission.
It has been almost seven decades since planned development began in Nepal. To date, Nepal has implemented 15 periodic plans, and the draft of the 16th Plan is currently in the final stages of preparation. This five-year plan is set to commence from the next fiscal year.

The COP-28 is set to convene in Dubai from this Wednesday.
