National-level shooter Parambir Singh Dhola was driving the Volkswagen Beetle that ploughed into seven people on the Dhanas-Sarangpur road on May 17, killing three of them. 

Police said they on Monday recorded the statement of the woman, who was supposedly present with Parambir in the car at the time the accident took place last week. 

Parambir was returning from Chandigarh Police shooting range, Sector 25, along with a woman friend, when his Volkswagen Beetle car ran over seven people on the Dhanas-Sarangpur dividing road last Wednesday.

On Sunday, Parambir’s counsel also moved an application in court seeking permission for his client to appear in his annual exam scheduled to be held on May 26.

The driver of the car, identified as Parambir Singh, a resident of Zirakpur, has been on the run since the accident.
