investigative reporter from denver. you learned some information about the alleged shooter and concerns his psychiatrist actually had about him. well, anderson, in the first 10 days of june, a number of things were going on. kind of set the scene. on june 7, the suspect in these shootings was to take an oral exam. he was in the ph.d. program, the neuro science program at the university of colorado. he didn t do well on the exam at all. secondly, he had to find a mentor to continue in this neuro science program. we re told it s unclear if he could find a mentor. on june 7, the same day he basically failed that test, he went out in the afternoon and bought an ar-15 assault rifle. it was that afternoon that we know around that period, he was certainly talking to his psychiatrist who is dr. lynn fen ton. we don t know what the conversations were, but we know something that he said to his psychiatrist caused her to contact the university of colorado threat assessment team. now,
