Daytime sexual assault, kidnapping suspect sought by Asheville Police

ASHEVILLE - The Asheville Police Department is asking for help identifying a man who they say attempted to abduct two women in separate Jan. 20 incidents.
Police say the suspect could be considered armed and dangerous.
On Jan. 20 at approximately 11 a.m., Asheville Police received a report of an attempted kidnapping on Ralph Street in Asheville, according to police reports.
The victim told officers a man had forced her into his SUV, where he then tried to assault her at knifepoint. The woman was able to escape without physical injuries, police said.

On Jan. 20 at approximately 11 a.m., APD received a report of an attempted kidnapping on Ralph Street in Asheville, according to police reports.
The victim told officers a male had forced her into his SUV, where he then tried to assault her at knifepoint. The victim was able to escape without physical injuries, police said.
Around 15 minutes later, police responded to a sexual assault call on Emma Road near the French Broad River, where the victim also reported a male forcing her into an SUV, where he then assaulted her. The victim was eventually able to escape.
