National Weather Service survey teams were in the Wiregrass late last week and confirmed that a deadly tornado struck the Town of Cottonwood during this past Tuesday’s storms.

A Cottonwood woman died early Tuesday as storms spawn tornadoes, one of which is believed to have flipped the victim’s September Road mobile home several times while she was inside.
