NEW DELHI, July 9: The CBI has registered a case of corruption against officials of Delhi Jal Board and NBCC for allegedly favouring an ineligible private company in a contract worth Rs 38 crore for supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of electromagnetic flow meters, officials said Saturday. The CBI recovered a total of Rs 1.2 crore in cash and cash counting machines during the raid which was carried out at the residenceo of D.K. Mittal in Sector-19, Noida.

The central agency had conducted searches in connection with the case on the premises of accused which led to recovery of Rs.1.5 crore

Noida news: The CBI added that they have registered a case against five Delhi Jal Board officials -- Jagdish Kumar Arora, PK Gupta, Sushil Kumar Goel, Ashok Sharma, Ranjit Kumar and D.K. Mittal, the former General Manager, NBCC (India), NBCC Project Executive Sadhan Kumar and a private firm NKG Infrastructure Limited.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday registered a case against senior officials employed in the Delhi Jal Board and the former General Manager of National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) for alleged conspiracy to provide undue favour to a private company.

CBI has booked former Delhi Jal Board officials -- chief engineer Jagdish Kumar Arora, superintendent engineer P K Gupta, executive engineer Sushil Kumar goel, assistant engineer Ashok Sharma, AAO Ranjit Kumar and others besides private company NKG Infrastructure Limited.

As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Income Tax department are conducting raids at the house of NBCCs former General Manager in Noida, the officials of Delhi Jal Board have also been named as an accused in the case.The raid ...
