A 35-year-old woman was found lying unconscious in Rajasthan's Nagaur district six days after two men allegedly raped her, attempted to strangle her and then abandoned her near a pond thinking she was dead, police said on Friday.

The girl had been intimidated by her step-father and he had allegedly threatened to kill the girl if she complained about the incident to her mother.

According to authorities, the guy grabbed her and shoved her into the train car's corner before attempting to rape her

According to the police, the woman lodged a complaint that she met the accused named Rohit a year ago.

Based on the victims complaint, the Maharashtra police filed a case under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation.

After registering an FIR, the police have started their investigation and are trying to nab the culprit as he is on the run.
