I just want to start out by pulling you back a little bit and asking you why do you want to write about Political Parties . Your first book was focused on lobbying within the universe of potential reform college and money in politics and executive power, you chose to focus on parties as the linchpin. Can you talk about what drew you two parties in the process . Its good to be with us light reunion here on cspan. So why did i write this book . Because i was worried about american democracy and i saw hyper partisanship as a serious problem affecting the country and wanted to see if there was a way to solve that problem.
