Green Party Councillor for Greystones Lourda Scott has said Wicklow County Council’s refusal to grant permission for a development of 98 homes on the outskirts of the town was the correct one.
The number of new housing units completed in the first three months of this year was 6,716, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show, which is an increase of 19.1% on the numbers completed in the same period last year.
A presentation on the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programme was given to councillors at this month’s meeting of Greystones Municipal District by engineering consultants Barry Engineering, with specific regard to the plan for St Kevin’s National School.
