As schools fret over the inability to feed their pupils, education officials have apologised and promised that the money due to them for the school feeding scheme will be in by Monday next week.
Novelist and academic Prof Ncedile Saule has called on postgraduate students to consider doing their MA or PhD thesis on poet and writer Samuel Edward Krune Mqhayi to discover more about him and educate the nation. Saule, from Rhodes University, was speaking at the Steve Biko Centre in Qonce on Thursday at the launch of the SEK Mqhayi Foundation.
