The Rapid City Police Department has arrested a 68-year-old man in connection with a string of intentionally set fires. 68-year-old Raymond Andrzejewski of Rapid City was arrested this week on multiple criminal offenses following the investigation into a number of recent suspicious fires in the area of West Boulevard. The joint RCPD/RCFD investigation into these incidents began after encountering several suspicious fires that took place in the winter of 2020. In the time since, both the RCPD and RCFD have invested hundreds of hours working to investigate the suspicious fires at a number of locations in the area.
