Raymond John Curtis died in his sleep on August 26, 2021 at his home in Brentwood California. He was born on April 1, 1928 in Chicago Illinois. After graduating from South Shore High School he decided to go to North Dakota Sate University to try out for the Football team along with his friend Jerry Gainey who already had a scholarship. He was successful in getting a scholarship on the football team and while there he met his lifetime love and companion Mary Lois Severson. They married on June 8, 1953 and shortly afterwards accepted a commission in the United States Air Force. He completed a 30 year career, retiring as an Air Force Colonel. Ray and Mary built their dream house on Upper Cormorant Lake, Minnesota where they spent their golden years making friends and traveling to visit their kids. Ray is survived by his five sons: Steve, John, Mike, David and Dan, as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ray was known as a true neighbor, one who was always ready to help som
