The Waverly Community of veterans is already a tightknit family. And that was proven after the flooding of 2008 ruined several posts. These veterans came together and after the floods of 2008 ripped through townmany veterans were left with no place to turn. The amvets had to get out of there, so they had to go somewhere. This was the spark for the waverly area veterans posta place to unite all veterans in the area. And after a few months of construction and veterans post now standing tall and ready to serve each and every veteran under one roof. Then they realized that gee why not. And they still have their autonomy, each one has an office. Where patriots gather. A place they hope will allow both young and oldactive and returning vets to come together. Support each other. And most importantly a place to honor them. Take a look inside the elevatora mural with all five branches of the armed forces.
