Gov't Planning To Replace Eggs With Chinese Mackerel In SHSs: Buffer Stock Debunks Reports

The National Food Buffer Stock Company has denied reports that it is replacing eggs with Chinese mackerel in Senior High Schools nationwide. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Buffer Stock Company, Hanan Abdul-Wahab told Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on Peace FM s morning show Kokrokoo that the allegation was unfounded. That is not the case . . . since September 2017, mackerel has been part of the food items supplied by Buffer Stock to second cycle institutions. We are responsible for the supply of non-perishable food items and that includes mackerel. Eggs which are classified as perishable is supposed to be supplied by the school itself. So it cannnot be the case that we are substituting it with eggs. These are two different food items and they perform different functions; so it cannot be the case, he indicated.

Dennis Amfo-Sefah, Tema West Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has rebuked the Majority leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu over his no akan flagbearer comment. The Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame constituency courted controversy and verbal attacks when he averted that it will be unwise for the NPP to choose an akan flagbearer again. “Inwardly, I know I have the competence to lead the party but is it wise that after two Akans – former President Kufuor and current President Akufo-Addo – to present a flagbearer candidate with different ethnicity . . . I think it is not good for a party which has been accused by some as being overly Akanistic in nature. But not everybody would agree with me and that is the beauty of democracy,” he is quoted to have said in an interview.

Kasoa 'Money Ritual' Murder: This Is A Moment Of National Reflection On Our Value System - Oppong Nkrumah

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has disagreed with comments that the two Kasoa teenagers committed an atrocity because of content shown on television stations. According to him, that s not the only reason. Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on Peace FM s morning show ‘ Kokrokoo’, he claims it is a combination of a lot of factors including parenting. Two teenagers gruesomely murdered a 11-year-old boy for money ritual purposes. According to reports, they consulted a fetish priest who asked them to bring human parts and GHc 5000. Many have blamed this act on the influx of money doublers and fetish activities on television channels.
