NorthJersey.com Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Lisa McCormick submitted phony petitions to get on June’s primary ballot, including at least two petitions purported to have been signed by voters who are dead, an attorney for the New Jersey Democratic Party alleged during a court hearing Monday. Attorney Rajiv Parikh’s allegations were buttressed by five voters whose names are on McCormick’s petitions but who testified they did not sign them. Parikh also submitted evidence that other petitions, supposedly filled out and signed by the voters themselves, include misspellings of the voters’ names and their street addresses. “They tried to get Miss McCormick on the ballot by cheating, and it should not be tolerated,” Parikh said.
