The tool has been rolled out by the UK s University of Bath through their spin-out company, BLOC Labs. The research is published in the Biochemical Journal. The tool, launched this week, will help researchers identify the most promising protein molecules for drug development. It has the potential to play an important role in the creation of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). The market for these therapeutic antibodies is worth overPound 70 bn.

Both employ 16 people. The LEP says it has so far awarded more than £4.8m towards 123 short-term resilience projects and longer-term recovery and diversification ones generating nearly £7.5m of private match funding.
