As part of annual Greek Week festivities at Truman State University, students raised more than $25,000 in support of local organizations. Greek Week took place April 8-12 with this year’s theme as “Ready, Set, Learn!” Campus Greek organizations hosted individual fundraising events for the Kirksville Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program as well as Project Happie (Help All Preschoolers Play in Inclusive Environments). A total of $22,421.08 was raised to be split between those two organizations. Students also donated $2,678.53 in support of Truman’s Food Pantry. The total was announced during closing ceremonies, April 12.
