Forty-eight recruits from Naval Station Great Lakes were greeted with smiles, hugs and a parade line of flags Christmas day at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights. Gold Star parents Bob and Linda Stack facilitated the gathering for the 10th year.

For the 10th year, Christian Liberty Academy (CLA) in Arlington Heights will host U.S. Navy Recruits on Christmas Day. Forty Navy recruits will be served dinner, enjoy entertainment and connect with their homes. Many Arlington Heights residents, businesses and organizations have contributed their time and talent to thank these young people for their service. U.S.
