Nama Ramen Reopens in New Location

After being closed to indoor diners for nearly a year, San Antonio favorite Nama Ramen has officially reopened its doors at a new, larger location on Babcock Road.
Known for inventive sushi rolls and Texas-influenced Asian cuisine, Nama Ramen has become a go-to since opening in 2015 for hungry sushi and noodle fanatics. When the pandemic hit last March, Nama Ramen closed and turned its original location into a curbside pickup-only spot. Owner Kevin Chu also shifted his focus to their new location, which is just down the street from the original.
“Originally, we had a super small space with high volume. Every night pre-covid was packed with a 2-hour wait,” Chu says. “However, we felt when the pandemic hit it was our social obligation to be responsible and not take on dine-in. We pivoted and converted our little space to a take-out spot only.”
