Kaloom Raises $32 5M in Series A Funding

Kaloom, a Montreal, Canada-based provider of a programmable and automated cloud-native edge center networking software solution, raised further undisclosed funding. The round, which was led by Alternative Capital Group, brought total Series A funding to USD32.5m. As a part of ACG’s investment, Kaloom appointed Stéphane Boisvert as President. Founder Laurent Marchand will retain his role of Chief Executive Officer. The company intends to use the funds to speed up deployment and market adoption of its Unified Edge Solution. Kaloom is delivering a fully programmable and automated cloud-native edge center networking software solution that aims to innovate how distributed cloud edge and data center networks are built, managed and operated by Telecom, Fixed and Mobile Operators, Data Center and Cloud Service Providers. Red Hat announces open hybrid cloud and edge solutions at summit

The mantra at the 2021 Red Hat Summit wasn’t so much “Linux” as it was “open hybrid cloud. Plus, of course, Red Hat OpenShift, which, as Red Hat’s president and chief executive officer Paul Cormier pointed out, is underpinned by Linux. Paul Cormier, president and CEO, Red Hat “Our job is to provide customers the choice to do what is right for them,” Cormier said during his keynote on April 27. “Organizations are going to use multiple clouds. In fact, recent research showed that the typical enterprise today is using nearly eight different clouds from multiple vendors and expects to use at least ten clouds within three years. It is and will continue to be a hybrid world.”
