Marijuana brownies netted in police raid

Premium Content Subscriber only POLICE from Ipswich s Tactical Crime Squad seized drugs including 1.5kg of marijuana brownies and 1.2kg of marijuana butter during a raid at Redbank Plains. The June 5 raid resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old man, who was later charged with a range of offences. It will be alleged police also found a large quantity of marijuana plants, jars of the drug, and cannabis seeds. Drug utensils were also located and seized from the address. The man was charged with producing marijuana, possessing marijuana, possessing drug utensils and possessing things for use in an offence. He will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court.

Suspicious vehicle fire ignites community concerns

Premium Content Subscriber only CONCERNED residents of Redbank Plains have been left reeling after a parked vehicle was allegedly set alight early Monday morning. A witness to the scene, who wished to remain anonymous, spoke exclusively with the Queensland Times on Tuesday. The woman said she woke to a disturbance on Highbury Drive about 1.30am on Monday. “There was a bunch of noise in the area, dogs barking, a lot of commotion, things like that,” she said. “It all seemed to happen pretty quickly. “There were plenty of police at the scene before I actually noticed it.” LOCAL NEWS: It comes after a Queensland Police spokesman confirmed on Tuesday a Kia SUV had been targeted in an early morning incident.

While travelling through Redbank last month, Ms Wood, her son Cameron and partner Steve were about to become witnesses to the pursuit of an allegedly stolen vehicle. A black Kia Picanto and grey Subaru Impreza were reported as stolen from a Wulkuraka house on January 25, with a 24-year-old One Mile man and a 21-year-old North Ipswich man believed to be driving. The two vehicles stolen from Wulkuraka on Sunday evening.
