Rupert Wingfield Hayes had been in pyongyang reporting ahead of the Workers Party congress, but authorities took issue with what they call disrespectful reporting, especially on leader kim jongun. The bbc says that Wingfield Hayes and two other employees were detained and questioned for eight hours. The company is now trying to get them all out of the country. Now, within the past hour, cnns will ripley spoke to us live from pyongyang about the circumstances surrounding the reporters expulsion.
