TECH NEWS News: Apple has created a new artificial intelligence system called ReALM (Reference Resolution As Language Modeling) that can comprehend ambiguous references to on-screen entities, conversational context, and background processes, enabling more natural interactions with voice assistants like Siri, according to a research paper published by the company.
Apple discussed its large language model (LLM) Reference Resolution As Language Modeling (ReALM) and how it can “substantially outperform” OpenAIs GPT-4. Apple said that while LLMs are extremely powerful for a variety of tasks, their use in reference resolution, particularly for non-conversational entities, remains underutilised.
