4. Sarasota Jungle Gardens debuts Giant Snake exhibit
A local landmark dating back to 1939, Sarasota Jungle Gardens has opened a new, permanent exhibit featuring some of the largest snakes in the world in a cave-like structure with glass enclosures and natural elements. Snakes featured in the Giant Snake exhibit include the Green Anaconda, which is the largest snake in the world reaching weights up to 500 (pounds), according to Sarasota Jungle Gardens. They have been known to eat adult white-tailed deer, jaguars, caimans and possibly even humans.
