(AFRICAN EXAMINER) - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has flagged off a six-month campaign to sensitize its internal and external stakeholders on its new Whistleblowing Policy. The new Whistleblowing Policy, which was approved by the AfDB’s Boards of Directors in January this year, brings retaliation by contractors, consultants and suppliers under the bank’s sanctions
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has launched a six-month campaign to familiarise internal and external stakeholders with its new whistleblowing policy. In an effort to protect whistleblowers, AfDB says the inception of the policy highlights the value it places on contributions made by whistleblowers towards suppressing corrupt practices.
Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group said, “I am very pleased to appoint Atsuko as Acting Vice President for Agriculture, Human and Social Development.
