Its a big weekend for the arts in Lancaster city — between the largest First Friday celebration of the year so far, and more than two dozen businesses taking part

Need a few ideas on how to spend your First Friday in Lancaster city?

Februarys a great month to fall in love — with new exhibitions in local galleries, of course.

Perhaps this week, First Friday can be renamed to Free Friday.

The opening reception takes place on Friday along with a celebration including a Ukrainian singer and a performance from a Nepali youth dance troupe.

The six-person show runs at the Ware Center through Jan. 27.

Throughout February, the university will host both art exhibitions and on-stage performances celebrating the contributions and heritage of Black Americans.
