Permanent TSB has announced it's increasing mortgage interest rates.

NatWest increased the rate on its regular savings account to 5% today, up from the 3.75% previously on offer. As a regular savings account requires a monthly addition, NatWest customers can add as little as £1 to their funds per month. The most they can deposit each month into their savings stands at £150.

High street bank NatWest added almost 20,000 more current account holders in the year’s first quarter, more than any other bank, according to the Current Account Switch Service (CASS). It came at a time when the provider had a £150 switching incentive offer, which was removed in April.
