Our Reporter Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress (NPMC) launched a toll-free helpline – Support Team for Relief Emergency and Empowerment (STREE), for women in the state at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur, on Friday. The president of Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress, Lucy, informed that any woman in distress or in need of legal help or medical advice, can call its toll-free helpline number 1800-203-0589 for assistance from anywhere in the state. She said the helpline number is purely a social work operating all over India to assist women in distress and that two volunteers will assist in all districts of the state. She also appealed to the doctors and lawyers, who want to give voluntary assistance towards this cause, to approach them, saying that their help is required.
