NegOcc s political families win, retain, swap posts

BACOLOD CITY - Spouses, siblings, parents, and children have dominated the winners' list for the top elective positions in Negros Occidental for the May 9 elections. At the Capitol, vice governor Jeffrey Ferrer was reelected for a second term while his wife Rep. Juliet Ferrer of the fourth district also won a fresh mandate for a third and last term. In this capital city, former third district congressman Alfredo Benitez was elected mayor while his son Javier also topped the mayoral race in Victorias City.
