A man is in custody after shooting and injuring a Storey County sheriffs deputy during a Domestic Violence call yesterday afternoon. It happened around 4 30 in the Virginia City highlands. Deputies, responding to a report of Domestic Violence were confronted by 51year old charles stutts. Stutts fire a rifle several times. Hitting one of the deputies and another person who was in the area. Sheriff gerald antinoro, tells kolo 8 the deputy did return fire. And stutts surrendered. Local Officials Say ponds are not safe to walk on. Philadelphia police now say the man who ambushed one of their officers, was inspired by isis. Officer Jesse Hartnett is recovering aaer he was shot at 11 times. Surviellance video from the shooting last night shows just how close the officer came to death.
