As the three-day Special Investigation Team (SIT) remand of the three accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case ended today, the probe agency informed that they have been successful in finding the motive behind the crime.

Former Uttarakhand DGP Aloke B Lal has said that the hurry in the demolition of the resort in question in the Ankita Bhandari murder case must have destroyed crucial evidence.

Ankita Murder case: It seems to me that the proper procedure of demolition of the so-called illegal resort was not followed in this case. Usually, a show-cause notice is issued before any such exercise is undertaken, Lal told PTI in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.

The Uttarakhand Police probing the horrific Ankita Bhandari murder case said Tuesday that the SIT had recovered two vehicles allegedly used in the crime from a resort where Ankita worked in Rishikesh.

After the body of Ankita Bhandari was recovered from a canal in Uttrakhand, a former employee of the resort in Rishikesh at which the deceased 19-year-old worked, recounted that the resorts ower who is among the prime accused arrested for the teens murder was notorious for misbehaving with women.

Ankita Bhandari case: A former employee of the Vanantara resort in Rishikesh, which is owned by Pulkit Arya, has claimed that the place was notorious for “prostitution and drugs abuse.”
