american people to have some action here for higher premiums and a broken insurance marketplace for the last seven years. i do think there s a path forward. the good news is, they re going to be voting on a bill that had passed and sent to president obama in 2015. but it provided the opportunity for a two-year window we can work across party lines to actually fix the system and provide results for the make and people. i think it s a perfect solution. jon: that was an easy repeal vote because everybody knew president obama would veto it. they could go on record as being in opposition. now, they have a president who would actually, apparently repeal this thing. isn t that a different kind of vote? yeah, that s right. it s an all hands on deck perspective from the republican party in my view. the blast radius surrounding the fellow from not getting something like this done
passed. mitch mcconnell said he can work with democrats to stabilize the markets. do you think that is something that should be done quickly after a repeal vote? i m not going to foreclose any options. the challenge i see, democrats have not been interested in working on this. they do not want to get us off of obamacare-train. they want to double down on a failed system that is in the middle of a class, and ultimately, it is very clear they are more interested in a single-payer system, which means government run health care. that is not in our nation s interests, and so they want to get a way from government run health care, then we have something to work with. the problem is, we have not seen any evidence of that. thank you. bill: you have a big mystery right now as what happens next, and mitch mcconnell being quite forceful. paul paul ryan waiting for guid.
will be a lot of horse trading over what exemption stay in and stay out, state and local tax exemption is going to be a big thing. clearly they think they have a better hand when it comes to tax cuts. i ll tell you this, neil, some stuff that we talked about today earlier on your show and on sbn, the markets like the tax cut idea. it is not fully baked into the market. you will see the markets, if they can get unanimity particularly on corporate tax cuts and the plan out of the white house, is 15% not 20%. neil: goes down on the lowest lower rate. corporate and individual together. yes. some individuals. but here s the thing. they re not going to they may negotiate the corporate rate up but it s going to start at 15. they want the biggest wang for the buck. they think they can get it done. tomorrow will be a big day. does mcconnell put the pedal to the metal and get the repeal vote going.
