The ranking minority member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, in a letter Thursday to the panel's chairwoman, called on former Commanders employee Jason Friedman to be given the opportunity to amend his prior testimony or be referred to the Department of Justice for giving potentially false statements.

A Republican representative has questioned the credibility of a former employee making claims of financial improprieties by the Commanders and is seeking amended statements, threatening a federal investigation otherwise.

Sometime around October 20th, 2021, the NIH quietly deleted a section of their website that defined gain-of-function research.  Senator Rand Paul and Congressman James Comer, sent a letter to the NIH demanding answers as to why the information was deleted and questioning whether or not the deletion was related to the release of a letter, admitting to gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
