IF THE COVID-19 pandemic taught anybody anything, it was that there is money in them thar hills. The government doled out trillions of dollars (that’s a number followed by 12 zeroes) in support for families, businesses, workers and industry in response to the disruption the pandemic caused to the lives, resources and prospects of its people.

The ordinance passed by a vote of 6-1 and would allow mobile homes in rural and agricultural areas.

On Tuesday, the Volusia County Council will consider changing the County Code to allow mobile homes in more zoning categories.
