Officials are warning about potential traffic congestion during the North Dakota State High School Track and Field Meet at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck this week.
The Tornadoes had two athletes qualify for the state track and field championships.
Senior Sadie Hansen qualified for the shot put and the discuss. Hansen qualified in the shot put with a throw of 37’10”. She would qualify in the discuss with a throw of 113’61/2″.
Junior Abigail Cox qualified in the long jump with a jump of 16’5″.
This will be the first state track meet for Cox. And for Hansen, she qualified for state in both events in 2019. She took second in the shot put with a throw of 38’10”. She finished 18th in the discuss that year as well.
The State Track an Field Championships will be held May 27-29, 2021 at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
