A total of 449 persons deprived of liberty (PDL) have cast their votes during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Monday, October 30, 2023.

As the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) marred parts of Mindanao with bloodshed, candidates and supporters alike fell victim to the violence. In one incident, a candidate for barangay captain was killed by his own brother, who is also running for the same post. In another incident, two persons were killed, while four others were wounded in a shooting incident. Tensions ran high and voting was disrupted in several areas as a result of the violence.
