We are excited to feature various presenters, including: keynote speaker Jennifer Gaviria (MSW, LISCW), Co-Founder of the Latino Mental Health Network of RI; keynote speaker Dr. Pablo Rodriguez, Founder and CEO of Nuestra Salud Productions; representatives from Rhode Island Latino Arts, Progreso Latino, and Latino Policy Institute; state politicians, and more. The Summit culminates in an all-Spanish comedy show by Colombian comedian Saulo García at 7pm, which is free and open to the public.
RIC Honors LatinX and Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15–October 15) and the 2023 Theme of "Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America." From September 15 to October 15 each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the achievements, histories, traditions, and cultural diversity of Hispanic/Latino/Latinx Americans whose heritage is rooted in 20 Latin American countries.
