Dahlias appear to be even more popular this year than last. Finding some of the more popular tubers has become especially difficult since most suppliers were sold out of their inventory in December, shortly after opening their sales for the year. The trend does not show any signs of stopping.
Luckily I belong to two dahlia societies the New England Dahlia Society and the Rhode Island Dahlia Society so I am able to trade for some of the varieties I want with other members. And, NEDS will have a tuber sale for its members this month in case I simply must have one of the varieties they are offering.
