The man who was recaptured after disarming and shooting a policeman and escaping from the National Chest Hospital last month, has been slapped with multiple gun-related offences.
Ricardo Richards, alias Kaka , has been charged with wounding with intent, illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, robbery with aggravation, and escaping custody.
The accused was remanded in police custody when he appeared in the Gun Court Division of the Supreme Court on Thursday.
His next court appearance is scheduled for April 21.
On Friday, March 12, Richards reportedly disarmed and shot a police officer from the Denham Town station before making his escape from the National Chest Hospital in St Andrew, where he had been taken for medical treatment.
