Kennedy was also a former top executive with Norton Co. and Saint-Gobain in Worcester.
Kennedy served as president and CEO of the Worcester chamber for nine years, from 2004 to 2013.
“Dick was a true champion for Worcester and the region’s business community during his tenure as Chamber President and CEO. He led this organization through some challenging times and prepared it for future growth,” said Worcester Chamber President and CEO Tim Murray.
Kennedy’s support didn’t stop when he retired from the chamber, Murray said. He continued to stay active in the community in a variety of ways.
