MDH promotes COVID-19 vaccinations

MACOMB McDonough District Hospital has released the first video in a series promoting the safety of coronavirus vaccines.
The video is available on the MDH website. Dr. Nicholas Viyuoh, Mary Thompson, and Dr. Tamara Smith of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department explain that the vaccines have no negative effect on pregnancies. Also on the video, Dr. Richard Minter tells how there is no impact on DNA from the vaccinations.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported Monday that 21,595 doses of vaccine have been administered in McDonough County. There are 11,227 county residents now fully vaccinated, 37.8 percent of the population.
